Cadence and power in recovery

This is a question for all coaches out there. Sometimes recoveries specify 80 rpm, 85 rpm, or 90 rpm at 50% of ftp. If the targets specify 90 rpm at 50% ftp, is it important to ride recovery between intervals at 90 rpm instead of 80-85?

Unless, the workout has specific instructions to the contrary, I generally ride my recoveries to the suggested RPE, and let the cadence be whatever matches it.
