Simon began his athletic career as an elite level swimmer in his home country of Australia. In 2008 Simon came to the U.S. as a professional cyclist and in 2009 was part of an eight-man team that broke the World Record for the fastest RAAM finish. Simon is a USA Cycling, USAT Triathlon and USA Swimming Level 1 Coach, Australian Triathlon Level 1 Coach, Australia Personal Trainer- Level 4, Australian Swimming Coaches & Teacher’s Association- Silver License Swim Coach.
Simon has been coaching full time since 2010 with a focus on endurance sports at every level. Simon has coached athletes from beginner to Olympic and World Champions winning 35 World Championships and over 60 National Championships on 4 Continents. His coached athletes compete in Marathons, Triathlons from Sprint to Ironman and ITU, Duathlons, Xterra race series and World Championships, Swimming, Road, Track, MTB and Paracycling. His athletes have been named to numerous Australian National Team Team GB and Team USA World Championship and UCI World Cup rosters in Triathlon, Duathlon, XTERRA and Cycling. Simon also has extensive knowledge working in Olympic programs as the podium endurance coach for British Cycling during the Rio Olympic cycle with athletes winning gold medals on the road and track. He currently coaches members of Team USA preparing for Tokyo.
His attention to detail, focus on technique, belief in purposed training, and proactive focus on injury prevention helps bring a happy, healthy and well-prepared athlete to the start line to accomplish their goals.
